There was nothing he could do, as his hands were tied on this matter.
Every man must make a difficult choice in his life, a choice where the right answer is the darkest path.
Maybe it's not the smart one, but it is the only way to find the light at the end of the tunnel.
It doesn't matter in the end, as the hunter is a lonely man by nature, like the Dark Knight of Arthurian legend.
Someday, he will be remembered by his friends as the one who pushed them away to save their lives; a true hero.
